We got chatting with the beautiful and sweet Rosa from California, USA and I was really amazed at her journey to become a mother, she really fought infertility against all odds and now is a mom to Liam. We wish her all the very best in her journey and in her life and read on to know more!
SuperMOM asks: So Mommy tell us in detail about your Instagram and the concept behind the same? Rosa says: The concept behind my Instagram is to share my story about infertility and sharing the journey that finally led me to become a mother. I also want to encourage woman dealing with infertility and give them hope!
SuperMOM asks: Tell us something about your life as a Mommy in the USA?Rosa says 3.5-month old I am currently a stay at ho3.5-month-old son named Liam. I plan to return to work in a couple of months. I’ll be pursuing a new career as an Ultrasound technician.
SuperMOM asks: Tell us something about how did you manage to beat infertility?Rosa says:PCOS was a major factor in my infertility. After many failed attempts, lots of doctors, medications, and procedures, I made the choice to get healthy by diet and exercise. I believe this prepared my body for pregnancy and helped hold my baby to term. In the past, we tried IVF which resulted in 3 pregnancies that all ended in miscarriage. I also had other miscarriages which ended early in the first trimester. After becoming healthy we tried an IUI. The IUI was a success and I gave birth to a healthy son.
SuperMOM asks: Was the process difficult?Rosa says: The process was very difficult. It took a toll on my body, my sanity, and even my marriage. There were so many times that I wanted to give up. I felt like I would never fulfil my dream of becoming a mother. But I did not allow myself to give up and the reward was completely worth it in the end!
SuperMOM asks: What would you like to say to women who face the same issues?Rosa says: Never give up! Prepare yourself mentally and make the choice to fight for it! Know that it will get hard and you will want to give up. If you don’t keep trying you are just holding yourself back. You have to keep going because it is all worth it in the end!!
SuperMOM asks: Tell us something about your pregnancy? How was it?Rosa says: I absolutely loved being pregnant! I had a lot of discomforts that come with pregnancy. Nausea the first 12 weeks. Really bad heartburn and acid reflux that would keep me up all night. I had hip pain, pinched nerves, and a pinched ureter. Along with really bad back pain due to scoliosis. But I would still do it all over again! Nothing beats the feeling of growing life inside of you and feeling all his little kicks and movements!
SuperMOM asks: Tell us something about your schooling and your recent study as well? Rosa says: I completed some college in child development. Later I decided to pursue a career in ultrasound, so I completed a 2-year tech program. Next, I will do a one-year paid internship in order to become licensed.
SuperMOM asks: How did you manage to study the pregnancy and the baby being around? Rosa says: I finished the program before pregnancy. I put my internship on hold and continued working as a teacher’s aid until my 8th month of pregnancy.
SuperMOM asks: What are your thoughts on adoption? Rosa says: I feel that adoption is such a blessing to the lives of little children who will get to grow up with a loving family. And it is also a blessing to the parents who get to fulfil their dream of having a family. I admire those who chose to adopt!
SuperMOM asks: How has technology changed mommyhood? Rosa says: Technology is a great tool when you’re a new mom! You have so much information and articles at your fingertips. It is so easy to connect with people all over the world that may be going through the same or have already gone through it and can offer their advice!
SuperMOM asks: Tell us something about your family and how many siblings do you have?Rosa says: I grew up as the oldest of two brothers. One is 2 years younger and one 10 years younger. When I was 17 my parents divorced and went their separate ways. I also moved out from the home at this time. My father got remarried, inherited a stepson and had two more biological sons. My mother also remarried and adopted two children. A boy and a girl. That’s 6 brothers and one sister!
SuperMOM asks: How do u balance the day with the kid and plus Instagram, personal work and the blog?Rosa says: With my son being so young and colicky I don’t have too much time for myself. I like to jump into social media when I get a little chance while breastfeeding or if he takes a little nap. He’s not a regular napper.
SuperMOM asks: Special message and anything that u wanna add on to the mothers in India? Rosa says: I’d love to learn more about the Indian culture and parenting in India!
SuperMOM asks: Any special message for the Instagram mommies? Any selfie tricks? or tricks to click your kid’s photos, because we love them!Rosa says: My best selfie trick is to take your pictures in the car! Sounds silly but you get the best lighting in there. Also standing in front of a window and letting the natural light in. Always make sure the light is in front of you and not behind. When it comes to taking pictures of the kids get ready to take lots of photos. Especially for the little squirmy ones! Make sure you have good lighting, natural is best! Try to get the kiddo to laugh and then snap away!
