Rarely do we come across a book which combines the traditions and mixes it with Modern attitudes and techniques and especially with regards to food.
Traditional recipes for pregnancy and motherhood by Sonal (Photo in the featured Image) and Supriya includes 80 recipes across India and gives us an insight into 6 superfoods.
Eat Local is a philosophy that I have come to realise works the best and especially when it comes to having kids, you cant eat international superfoods and have a kid in India so when Supriya spoke about this book I was so happy to jump on the book review.
The book begins with a glimpse of superfoods for Pregnancy and Lactation and trust me… even after having 2 kids I was unaware that Garlic, Moringa and Turkey Berry are good for lactation.
After going forward the book is divided into state wise recipes so we also come to know what are some recipes that people in states like Kerela and Himachal Pradesh are having.
These are some of my favourite recipes.
